The film follows the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they set out to gain acceptance in the human world while facing a new threat. After years of being sheltered from the human world by their father, Splinter, the turtle brothers—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael—emerge from the sewers of New York City to win the hearts of New Yorkers and become normal teenagers. But their quest takes a dangerous turn when a mysterious crime syndicate and an army of mutants threatens the city, forcing the turtles to rise as heroes.
